Court System Seeks Comment on Adopting Uniform Bar Exam

Absent major objections, New York would become the largest and most influential state to use the Uniform Bar Examination. While the New York bar exam would retain a section specifically about New York law, Chief Judge Jonathan Lippman said the bulk of the two-day test would be the nationally-standardized exam (UBE) prepared by the National Conference of Bar Examiners….Bret Parker, executive director of the New York City Bar Association, called it an “extremely positive development.”
