Free CLE for Members

City Bar members in the following categories can attend CLE Programs that are three hours or less at no charge as part of their membership — whether the program is live, live webcast or on-demand.

Law students
Recent law graduates (not yet admitted)
Newly admitted lawyers (admitted within the last two years)
In-house/corporate counsel
Government sector, academia and non-profit lawyers
Judges and their staff

CLE Programs or Conferences longer than three hours are not included in this member benefit and are priced separately. The one exception is the live Bridge the Gap program (16 CLE credit hours), which is free for members who are Newly Admitted Lawyers despite exceeding the three-hour cutoff.

Don’t fall into one of the categories above, or need a program over three hours? Scholarships & Discounts offer reduced or waived tuition based on financial need — including full scholarships for unemployed attorneys and discounts for lower-income members.

Also, all members outside the categories listed above, can purchase unlimited access to all CLEs three hours or less through Select CLE for a flat annual rate of $499 ($399 for solo practitioners). The package covers live programs, live webcasts and immediate access to hundreds of hours of on-demand programs.

Continuing Legal Education

The City Bar Center for CLE offers more than 120 live and live-webcast CLE Programs and Conferences every year, most of which are also available on-demand.

We are committed to providing high-quality, timely and relevant Programs to both newly admitted and experienced attorneys alike at a reasonable price structure that serves the City Bar members and the profession-at-large.

Events

City Bar committees produce hundreds of Events per year, many of which are recorded and available as videos and podcasts.
