These Appellate Judges Challenged DiFiore. Will Cuomo Give Them Their Spots Back?
Michael P. Regan, who is chair of the Council on Judicial Administration at the New York City Bar Association, issued a letter to the governor’s administration about the appellate judges who were recently cleared to come back to the bench. Without referencing Gesmer and Friedman by name, Regan wrote that ‘senior appellate judges should be re-designated for service in the Appellate Division—where their knowledge and experience can be put to best use.’
