NY Bar Joins Battle Over Supreme Court Ethics ‘Alarm’
The New York City Bar Association has asked Congress to promptly pass a bill to deal with a lack of public trust in the nation’s highest court if the Supreme Court won’t police itself. ‘Our real worry is that, especially in these divided times, we want to be sure that people have faith in the courts and in the rule of law,’ NYCBA President Susan Kohlmann told Law360 Pulse in an interview Monday. ‘What this Senate bill does would go a long way to ensuring that the Supreme Court as an institution resumes its place, and it’s just really important right now to be sure that people can believe in the court.’”
