Voices from Russian-Occupied Ukraine: Dispatch from a Humanitarian Crisis

Speaking from her government office in Ukraine, Elizabeth Savchuk, Ph.D. of Law, spoke about the Russian invasion of Ukraine, showing maps and photos. Dr. Savchuk is the head of Vinnytsia Regional Council and personally witnessed Russian bombs destroy her home town. She discussed violations of human rights, mistreatment of military prisoners, and displaced Ukrainians trying to survive with no homes, no work and no resources. The discussion was moderated by William Jeffries, an American who has been regularly driving truckloads of food, medicine and clothing into Ukraine. He is one of many international volunteers helping distribute supplies to orphans, wounded soldiers and displaced refugees. He spoke from his temporary location Warsaw, Poland.
