I. Introduction
The Committee on Inter-American Affairs of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York is pleased to present the latest version of the “eGuide to On-Line Sources of Law Relating to Latin America.” The Guide is an annotated list of websites of interest to lawyers whose practice has a Latin American component, focusing mainly on websites that provide direct links to the text of jurisprudence, legislation and related legal materials at the global, regional and national levels.
The original guide, published in 2001, covered the equivalent of 27 printed pages and contained hyperlinks to slightly more than 200 websites. The current eGuide covers the equivalent of 85 printed pages, with hyperlinks to over 1,000 websites and hundreds of additional sub-links to legal information pages contained within those websites.
The eGuide has been expanded to cover five major categories:

- Regional Sites,
- Country-specific Sites,
- Bar Associations by Country, and
- Law Schools by Country.
Country-specific sites are now broken down into five major categories: (a) Executive, (b) Legislative, (c) Judicial, (d) Ministries, Agencies and Other Governmental and Quasi-Governmental Websites, (e) Self-Regulatory, and (f) Other Databases, Directories and Portals.
The current version of this Guide was prepared with the assistance of Mark Tibberts, Joe Castelluccio, Stephanie DeGiacomo, Jaclyn Rabin, Ainara Renteria and Daniel Ungar (general review and update), Marina Michelutti (Argentina), Clayton Steele (Colombia), Einar Klanderud (Guatemala), Albert Garrofe (Spain), Daniele Ferrere and Maria Leonor Tobia Diaz (Uruguay), and especially Rafael Oddone (Brazil and Mexico).
This document does not attempt to be a complete review of all possible websites containing legal materials relating to Latin America, nor does inclusion of a site constitute an endorsement by either the Committee on Inter-American Affairs or The Association of the Bar of the City of New York. Because of the fluid nature of the content of most websites, there is no guarantee that descriptions prepared even a few weeks ago are still accurate.
