The Slow Death Of New York’s ‘Brick And Mortar’ Office Rule

Attorney Paul Garjian, a New Jersey resident and member of the New York City bar, which has also called for the end of Section 470, said it wasn’t clear to him how much impact its eventual demise would have. ‘I think it’s still a valid issue, but the question is, how strongly do members actually feel about rescinding it at this point? Are people just too busy to think about it?’ said Garjian, who maintains a Manhattan address through the city bar’s ‘virtual’ office service. ‘I don’t know the answer.’
