NYS Appellate Division, First Department: Survey. All attorneys and self-represented litigants are required to fill out a survey to specify a preference for in-person or remote oral argument. The survey should be filled out as soon as an appeal is perfected. The selection of a preference is not a guarantee that oral argument will be granted.
