When Bret I. Parker became the city bar’s executive director eight years ago, Judge Katzmann immediately reached out to him. The two had lunch at a restaurant called City Hall a short walk from the federal courthouse in lower Manhattan. The judge was a regular there. Parker got to know Judge Katzmann and his wife, Jennifer, in the years that followed.
