Bar Associations Assess Court of Appeals Hopefuls (New York Law Journal)

Eleven bar associations have found all seven candidates for the most recent state Court of Appeals vacancy to be qualified for the job. Moreover, many of the groups gave higher ratings to all or some of the candidates….The groups evaluating the candidates were the New York State Bar Association, the New York City Bar, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, the Academy of Trial Lawyers, the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York, the Tri-County Bar Association, the Women Trial Lawyers Caucus, the Albany County Bar Association and the Broome County Bar Association.
