NY Bar Associations Rally for Law to End In-State Office Mandate 

The New York State and New York City bar associations are urging Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) to sign off on a bill that would scrap a century-old law requiring lawyers who practice in New York to have a physical law office in the state….’Remote work is here to stay, and legal needs of New Yorkers are only increasing in today’s complex world,’ said Susan Kohlmann, president of the New York City Bar Association. ‘Signing this bill into law will keep the profession moving forward and increase access to justice.’
