Share the Love

February 21, 2023

Show some love this year by supporting ODEIB’s Thurgood Marshall Summer Law Internship Program (TMSLIP). This is our flagship pipeline program matching New York City public high school students with distinguished legal employers for a summer employment opportunity and professional development training.

Last year, we had over 100 qualified student applicants but were only able to place 35 students. This year, our goal is to place an additional 10 deserving students at non-profit or government organizations.

If creating more Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging in the legal industry is something you value, here is how you can support us:

· Commit to hosting a TMSLIP student in 2023
· Volunteer to be a panelist in our professional development programming for the students
· Fund a student’s stipend at a nonprofit or government agency ($4,200 per student)
· Donate whatever you can to the cause, every single dollar counts!

Donations of $100 or more will receive a DEIB t-shirt as a thank you! Email mellenlarosa@nycbar.org with your donation receipt to claim your free tshirt while supplies last! Check out the link in our bio to make an impact. Click here to donate.

A copy of our most recently filed financial report and information on other charitable organizations is available from the NY Attorney General’s Charities Registry (www.charitiesnys.com) or (212) 416-8686. The report is also available upon request by contacting the Fund at 42 West 44th Street, New York, NY 10036.
