New Fragomen Fellow Takes Up Immigrant Pro Bono Post
“Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy has appointed a new fellow, Caitlin Miner-Le Grand, at the City Bar Justice Center for pro bono immigration representation. Under the fellowship, Fragomen will pay for salary and expenses for Miner-Le Grand, who will be responsible for training and mentoring pro bono lawyers and will continue community education and outreach activities that previous Fragomen fellows spearheaded. The Fragomen fellowship program, which began in 2007, is a two-year rotating position designed to improve pro bono immigration services provided by the City Bar Justice Center, the pro bono affiliate of the New York City Bar Association. Miner-Le Grand, a Yale Law School graduate who began the fellowship Monday, was previously an Immigrant Justice Corps fellow for three years at the Justice Center, representing low-income immigrants applying for various forms of immigration relief, including asylum, U visa status for victims of crime, T nonimmigrant status for survivors of labor and sex trafficking and self-petitions under the Violence Against Women Act.”
