NYC Bar Says Judges Want More Tech In Criminal Courts

State criminal courts in New York City should expand their use of increasingly common technologies such as email and video conferencing in court, the New York City Bar Association recommended Tuesday in a new report based on a survey of city judges. The 74 respondents to the association’s survey indicated they generally support expanding the use of such technologies in their courts to facilitate communication with attorneys, more easily show evidence during hearings and allow witnesses to testify from afar, among other uses.
