In the past five years, electric vehicle technology has matured to offer a viable alternative to internal combustion engine vehicles. The Zero Emissions Vehicle Mandate adopted by ten states including New York, as well as rapid advances in battery storage technology have contributed to their rapid development. This program explores the policy, regulatory and implementation issues surrounding electric vehicles, and discuss the challenges and opportunities for them that lay ahead.
