Effective Drafting of Matrimonial & Family Agreements

  • This seminar will provide the do’s and dont’s of drafting divorce and separation agreements, pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, and parenting plan agreements. Sample agreements will also be provided in the materials. Strategies and skills will be taught for drafting specific, unambiguous financial clauses, proper procedural clauses, and clauses in the best interests of children. Special attention will be paid to clauses varying or waiving from statutory formulas for maintenance and child support, how the new tax law effects the drafting of matrimonial agreements, sunset clauses in pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements and parenting plan agreements for special needs children and diverse families.
