The False Claims Act is one of the federal government’s most effective tools for fighting fraud against the government. Recently, the government has recovered billions of dollars through these types of actions. Under the Act, the United States can impose treble damages and significant civil penalties.
Join us for the “False Claims Act 101” CLE. Our experienced panelists will provide an overview of the False Claims Act, discuss the whistleblower or qui tam provisions of the Act, provide tips on litigating these cases from start to finish, and discuss recent significant cases.
Panelists include lawyers from the government, relators’ and defense bar.
