The Health Care Reforms of 2010 Panel Discussions on a Transformed Health Insurance Landscape

The recently adopted health care law is arguably the most consequential piece of social legislation enacted in this country in 40 years, and the commercial and legal complexities to be faced by participants in the health care and insurance sectors are only beginning. Two separate panels of legal and insurance experts will identify challenges for policymakers, regulators and industry stakeholders navigating the law’s wide-ranging implications. Issues to be covered include employer concerns, new market conduct restrictions on insurers, the insurance “Exchanges” that are to begin operating by 2014, upcoming regulation to implement the law and other critical dynamics produced by the legislation.
