Phyllis has been assisting attorneys and executives in the design and implementation of successful strategies to address personal/professional change. She has coached attorneys from large private firms to solo practitioners, those in government settings and in not-for profit. Her firm, PS Consulting Inc., has consulted with large firms on the outplacement of their partners and associates and on the professional development and retention of senior and junior associates. Phyllis understands the many opportunities for lawyers both inside and outside of the law. Her work spans from clients transitioning into new and higher positions, clients targeted for succession development and clients at risk of derailing. Maximizing strengths, overcoming performance hurdles and seeking an effective balance in light of personal/professional goals has been a strong emphasis in her coaching.
Phyllis has held senior-level positions with two premier international human capital services firms for whom she established New York City headquarters and regional offices. In these roles she was responsible for organizational development, staff management, business development and the design and delivery of executive coaching and career management programs and services. Phyllis has worked with firms and corporations to develop and deliver programs focused on coaching techniques, crisis intervention, managing change and mentoring. She has provided individual assessments, change management support and career management to senior management, new attorneys, executives from fortune 1000 companies and senior level attorneys. Phyllis’ professional experience also includes work as a clinician and as an educator. She has been an invited speaker at NYS and American Bar Associations annual meetings.
Phyllis completed work for a Doctoral degree in Developmental Psychology at Yeshiva University where she also earned two Master of Science degrees in Counseling Psychology and Developmental Psychology. She earned an undergraduate degree from Brooklyn College with a concentration in European Literature. Phyllis also completed a psychoanalytic training program.
