Top Ten Copyright Myths

SUMMARY

The Copyright and Literary Property Committee has issued a report entitled Top Ten Copyright Myths. The report lists common copyright misunderstandings that committee members have consistently encountered. Issues covered in the report include whether copyright requires registration and how material is protected by copyright on the Internet, among others. The report is issued to educate fellow lawyers, as well as the general public, on frequent misconceptions that are found in copyright law.
