Know Your Rights: A Guide to Health Care Rights for Transgender New Yorkers

SUMMARY

The Committee on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Rights has issued a brochure entitled “Know Your Rights: A Guide to Health Care Rights for Transgender New Yorkers”. The Guide provides information regarding rights in dealing with hospitals and other health care providers and insurance companies and what the individual should do if he or she experiences discrimination. The Guide also features a list of agencies with which to file complaints and a list of transgender legal services organizations in New York.
