The City Bar will close at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 26, and will be closed on Monday, May 29, in observance of Memorial Day.
The Judiciary Committee evaluates candidates for election, reelection, appointment, reappointment, designation and certification to judicial office and other offices connected with the administration of justice in state and federal courts in New York City. The primary purpose of the Committee, which has been in existence for more than 140 years, is to insure that candidates meet appropriate standards of professional competence and integrity and to strengthen the judiciary by encouraging merit appointments and merit nominations for elective judicial office.
