The City Bar will close at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 26, and will be closed on Monday, May 29, in observance of Memorial Day.
The Energy Committee addresses legal, regulatory, and policy issues concerning energy production, transmission, distribution, and consumption at the local, state, federal, and international levels. Subject areas considered include energy market dynamics, project finance, energy efficiency, load management, environmental concerns, new technology, and data privacy. Committee members represent diverse viewpoints and have been drawn from law firms, investor-owned utilities, non-profit organizations, start-ups, and energy service companies. The Committee hosts informational programming at the New York City Bar Association; reviews and closely follows proposed legislation and regulation; and selects current topics to discuss at monthly meetings where members have the opportunity to learn from, and provide constructive comments to, each other and guest speakers.
