Women’s Professional Clothing and Accessories Drive
The New York City Bar Association’s Women in the Legal Profession Committee is proud to sponsor a clothing and accessories drive during Women’s History Month. All items will be donated to Bottomless Closet, a non-profit organization that works to reduce the barriers many women face in the search for employment and provide on-going workshops so that women gain the tools to succeed in their professional and personal lives.
Dates: March 1 – 31, 2019
Location: New York City Bar Association, 42 W 44th St, New York, NY 10036
(Donations will be accepted in the Lobby – look out for the red donation box.)
Please consider donating the following new or gently used items:
- Business Suits and Suit Separates
- Blouses, Tops, and Sweaters
- Dresses and Skirts
- Jackets and Coats
- Pants
- Handbags
- Shoes
- Jewelry
- Accessories including Scarves and Belts
- Unopened Hosiery and Shapewear
- Unopened / Unused Cosmetics and Toiletries
- Personal Care Products.
Bottomless Closet is in special need of the following items:
- All items in sizes 00, 0, 8 – 12 and up
- Handbags
- Cardigans (in all sizes);
- Jackets and Blazers (in sizes 8 and up)
- Pants (in sizes 8 and up)
- Shoes (in sizes 7 – 10 and up; all half-sizes are especially needed).
The following items cannot be accepted:
- Used / worn undergarments
- Activewear
- Jeans
- T-Shirts
- Sneakers and other casual footwear
- Evening wear
- Used/opened cosmetics
- Suitcases
- Household items.
Note: Plus sizes (14 and up), blazers (all sizes), cardigans (all sizes) and purses are in demand and particularly appreciated.
