Prior to joining the organization, Perez was a civil rights fellow at Relman, Dane & Colfax, a civil rights law firm in Washington, D.C., and previously served as the chair of the Election Law Committee of the New York City Bar Association. She also clerked for U.S. District Judge Anita B. Brody of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, as well as Third Circuit Judge Julio M. Fuentes.
