OCA Asks Pay Commission for Parity With US Judges
Debra Raskin, the city bar’s president, said another justification for retaining judges through higher salaries is that many litigants went through the courts unrepresented on crucial issues, like debt and housing matters. Working with pro se litigants on such significant cases required retaining judges with “skill and patience.”
