NY Exploring Post-Wayfair Tax Threshold Of $300K, 100 Sales [subscription required]

“The state is considering an existing statutory threshold that took effect in 1989 in which a presumption of nexus arrives when a seller’s cumulative gross receipts from sales in the previous four quarters exceeds $300,000 and more than 100 transactions, according to Deborah Liebman, deputy counsel for the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance’s Office of Counsel. Liebman made the comments while speaking at a state and local tax forum at the New York City Bar Association Monday night.”
