New York City Bar Association Rates Candidates for Federal Judgeships

The New York City Bar Association has evaluated and found approved the following nominees for federal judgeships:

  • Hon. Richard J. Sullivan, for appointment to the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
  • Hon. Gary R. Brown, for appointment to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
  • Eric R. Komitee, for appointment to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
  • Rachel P. Kovner, for appointment to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
  • Lewis J. Liman, for appointment to the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
  • Hon. Mary Kay Vyskocil, for appointment to the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.

The review was conducted by the City Bar’s Committee on the Judiciary. The Committee uses two ratings: Approved and Not Approved. Candidates rated Approved have affirmatively demonstrated qualifications necessary for the performance of the duties of the position for which they are being considered.
