Morristown mother-daughter duo saving Sochi dogs
“When mother and daughter Tanya and Anna Umansky began following coverage of last year’s Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia, and saw the way dogs were treated, they knew they had to do something. The group they helped found to support the cause — Sochi Dogs — will celebrate its one year anniversary on Saturday….Organizations including the New York City Bar Association Committee on Animal Law and the Mayor’s Alliance for NYC Animals have helped Sochi Dogs receive nonprofit certification in early January, which Anna Umansky expects will open many more doors.”
