Invitation for Public Comment: NYS Constitutional Amendment to Promote Government Integrity

The City Bar’s Government Ethics and State Affairs Committee has joined with a group of civic organizations in drafting a proposed amendment to New York’s Constitution to create a Commission on State Government Integrity.  This Commission would have the power to both fine and discipline officers and employees in the executive and legislative branches.

The public, interested organizations, persons and entities affected, experts in governmental ethics and other anti-corruption measures, academics and any others wishing to comment are invited to submit comments on the draft proposed constitutional amendment to deter corruption and promote transparent and honest government by March 16, 2018.
