EDNY Suspension of Service Administration by U.S. Marshalls

U.S. District Court (EDNY) Administrative Order 2020-19. Following on Administrative Order 2020-12 which ordered that, in all cases filed on or after March 18, 2020, and in which under ordinary circumstances the Court would appoint the United States Marshal or a deputy marshal to make service, any requirement that the Marshal accomplish service was suspended, and the time from March 18, 2020 through April 27, 2020 was excluded from the 90-day period to accomplish service. Administrative Order 2020-19 further suspends any requirement that the Marshal accomplish service nunc pro tunc to the expiration of the period specified in Administrative Order 2020-12, and the time from April 27, 2020 through June 15, 2020 is excluded from the 90-day period to accomplish service.
