An informal webinar poll I participated in last year, hosted by the New York City Bar Association and titled ‘Original Sin: How Origination Credit Is a Barrier to Achieving Diversity Goals,’ validated that many law firm and in-house attorneys are not aware how credit is awarded. Many law firm compensation systems are still, at least partially, hidden.
