City Bar Center for CLE Interviews Professor Stephen Gillers

Stephen Gillers has been a professor at New York University School of Law since 1978, and was Vice Dean from 1999-2004. He holds the Elihu Root chair at the school. He does most of his research and writing on the regulation of the legal profession, in law reviews and in the legal and popular press, where he is often quoted. In 2011, he received the Michael Franck Award from the ABA’s Center for Professional Responsibility, for “significant contributions to the work of the organized bar.” Widely considered one of the foremost experts on legal ethics, Professor Giller’s courses on the topic—which take place four or five times a year—have been among the most popular at the New York City Bar Association’s Center for CLE.
