A Tribute to Betsy B. Plevan: A Groundbreaking Legal Career

This program honors Bettina B. Plevan (1945-2021), a litigator who earned nation-wide respect for her courtroom expertise and bar leadership alike. A panel of those who knew her well touch on the vast impact she had on the profession generally and particularly on employment law, civil rights, access to justice, and international cooperation. Also discussed are her enormous contributions to diversity in the legal profession and her dedication to mentoring and her belief in the obligation to guide and prepare the next generation. It is a career that serves as an example to lawyers and professionals at all levels, for high achievement inextricably melded with civility and professionalism.
