Lawyers Connect Overview
Responding to the challenges of being a busy young attorney or law student, the City Bar created Lawyers Connect, a mix of live events and online programming for young attorneys, be it through age or professional experience, and law students who want to take an active role in their career. Lawyers Connect was created to help you excel in your professional life, maintain a personal life, and enjoy your legal career.
Join us October through June at First Thursdays, a series of events where you can create and grow both professional and personal relationships. First Thursdays events occur every other month and feature activities from speed networking to Trivia Night to a Whiskey Tasting, a Beer Tasting featuring local breweries, and – most recently and well-reviewed – a Champagne Tasting.
In addition, new lawyers can enhance their management, communication, and other important skills at our Career Development Programs.

Times are tough! Coffee is $8 a cup, cocktails $22 per drink, a carton of eggs costs above and beyond — it’s time we escape into a simpler time: the 1990s.
Remember when our biggest decision was whether to pick purple or green ketchup?! We at the New York City Bar do! Revel and celebrate an iconic era at the New York City Bar. Set aside the office attire, and dress up like it’s 1995! Grab your boom boxes, CDs, and let’s do the Macarena. Be prepared to enter a time capsule with the finest in 1990’s music, nostalgic games, and retro treats and drinks! We can’t wait to see you there!
