The New York City Bar Association, through its 150 committees, works to improve and reform the law and its application in a wide variety of areas. Our committees participate in shaping public policy in multiple ways, including writing on pending or proposed legislation, testifying at hearings, writing letters to public officials, drafting amicus briefs and making lobby visits.
