“In June, John Kiernan, the current chairman of the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution (CPR) and president of the New York City Bar Association, gave a speech at a function of the Association for Conflict Resolution of Greater New York that is noteworthy for its astute assessment of the state of alternate dispute resolution within corporations….Because of the importance of its content, we quote the speech at some length here and discuss its implications in the context of the results of a recent study of corporate ADR behavior we conducted.”
