OCA Expects Mayor at Legal Services Hearing

State court officials say they expect Mayor Bill de Blasio to testify Tuesday at a public hearing to discuss how adequate civil legal services for low-income residents helps New York City socially and economically. The hearing, at the Appellate Division, First Department, 27 Madison Ave., kicks off the sixth year of forums, one held in each of the four departments, to discuss the need for civil legal services for low-income New Yorkers….Among those expected to address the panel are John Sexton, president of New York University, and New York City Bar Association President Debra Raskin. Testimony is by invitation only.
