New York City Bar Pushes Senate to Consider SCOTUS Nominee

The New York City Bar Association lashed out at Mitch McConnell and Chuck Grassley for their refusal to consider the forthcoming Supreme Court nominee, saying their argument for waiting until the next president “rings hollow.” The organization of 24,000 lawyers and law students sent a letter to the Senate Republican leaders over the weekend saying the group believes the “refusal violates both the Appointments Clause and the longstanding historical practice of the Senate.”
