City Bar Schedules Program on Small Firm Management

“The New York City Bar Association will hold its 13th anniversary small law firm management symposium on Thursday. Workshop subjects will range from the basics of starting or growing a firm to technological issues such as cloud storage, using social media to grow your practice, online research and going paperless. Experienced small firm attorneys also will be available to answer questions and offer advice. The city bar estimates that about 25 percent of its 24,000 members practice as solos or in small firms, defined as 10 attorneys or fewer. Shan Thever, director of the city bar’s small firm center, said many of those attorneys spend so much time on administrative issues that they have limited time to practice law.”
