City Bar Reorganizes Staff, Names New Counsel

As Alan Rothstein prepares to retire as the New York City Bar Association‘s longtime general counsel, the organization has brought in two new attorneys and re-worked some responsibilities for existing staff. The City Bar has hired as counsel Neysa Alsina, previously the in-house counsel for Municipal Credit Union. She will start Aug. 10. Alsina is a graduate of Fordham University School of Law and a regional president of the Hispanic National Bar Association. The group also hired Mary Margulis-Ohnuma as policy counsel to work with Maria Cilenti, who has been named senior policy counsel. Margulis-Ohnuma, who starts in September, is coming from Ballard Spahr, where she was counsel, and is a Columbia Law School graduate.
