Consumer Affairs Committee

The Consumer Affairs Committee of the New York City Bar Association addresses current consumer protection issues on the national, state and local levels. Recent topics include consumer credit and debt, the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, updates on consumer protection legislation and reform on the state and local levels, privacy, and advertising and marketing law. The committee often collaborates with other City Bar committees, particularly in opining on state and local legislative issues and organizing programs.
