Representing Undocumented Workers

  • This program will consist of a panel discussion addressing the issues encountered by practitioners who represent undocumented immigrants within the court system. The panelists will address the unique legal issues that arise when working this this particularly vulnerable population and discuss best practices for litigating their cases. The discussion will address ways to collaborate across disciplines in order to provide comprehensive representation to the undocumented population. It will also explore the intersection of the rights of undocumented immigrants and the laws in different practice areas such as criminal law, housing law, and employment law.
