In the first of what will be a series of presentations sponsored by the New York City Bar’s Labor & Employment Law Committee, this webinar will introduce and explore the complicated and changing legal landscape affecting New York employees and employers in the wake of the COVID-19 worldwide pandemic. Among other topics, panelists will discuss issues and pitfalls arising under OSHA, the ADA, the FMLA, pandemic responsive relief acts such as the CARES Act and federal and state emergency sick/parental leave laws, and wage and hour issues related to remote work, salary cuts, and furloughs. The webinar will conclude with an overview of issues to be mindful about for when shelter-in-place orders are lifted and workers gradually return to work.
