City Bar Chorus Venues & Booking

Reviews from our venues:

“Our second event for Black History month came on February 27th with the return of the City Bar Chorus, who gave an eclectic, diverse and broad program that ranged from Broadway to Motown, Classic Rock to Gospel Spiritual. . . . Director Kathy Schneider, a very astute musicologist as well as sharp lawyer and researcher, gave a mini lesson in Black history in her introductions to each song, showing how it was connected to the theme through artists, performances, structure, influence, genre and style. The information was as entertaining as it was enlightening. . . . [L]istening to these well practiced law professionals sing so many intricate and layered harmonies throughout the evening, you had to remind yourself that singing is NOT their day job. . . [T]hey gave us a warm, lovely and enjoyable event to close Black History month.”
— Thomas Pileggi, Activities Coordinator, the Dorothy Ross Friedman Residence (managed by The Actors Fund)

“You all did a lovely job last night. Thank you so much for bringing all your talent, passion, and love to the residents of Rivington House.”
— Erika Banks, Manager, Hearts & Voices Program, Lifebeat — Music Fights HIV

“I just don’t know how you do it. It seems unimaginable that the City Bar Chorus can get any better than the year before! Once again you and your fellow members delighted the Brown Gardens residents with your absolutely beautiful singing, fabulous arrangements and musical talents. I am forever grateful that each year you entertain us and bring such joy to my residents. It will be a long wait until you return. Please thank everyone involved in last Tuesday’s performance and let them know how appreciated they are. Until next year . . . . I eagerly await the call to book us!!!”
— Sherry Marks, Social Worker/Service Coordinator, Arthur B. Brown & William Brown Gardens

“Thank you all for performing here at The Lillian Booth Actors Home. . . .  The residents thoroughly enjoyed hearing the eclectic mix of selections ranging from gospel to musical theatre.  Midway through the performance, when you engaged the residents in a sing along, you had them totally energized! . . .  We hope you will come back and visit us sometime in the near future.”
— Jordan Strohl, Administrator, The Lillian Booth Actors Home (managed by The Actors Fund)
