The piece details the City Bar’s evaluation process in the context of the Association’s nearly 150-year history as “an independent guardian of judicial quality and public trust,” and the recent decision by the Mayor’s Advisory Committee on the Judiciary to end its decades-long practice of only appointing nominees approved by the City Bar.
