State Courts “Next Steps” for Expanding Virtual Operations to Non-Essential Cases

On April 8 Chief Administrative Judge Marks released Administrative Order 85/20, which provides for the expansion of virtual court operations and remote access to nonessential court matters, effective Monday, April 13, 2020. Click here to learn more.

On April 7, 2020, in a memo from Chief Administrative Judge Marks to all trial court judges and justices, Judge Marks discussed the ongoing and mostly complete statewide transition to virtual court operations for essential matters and explained that, going forward, the court system will begin opening up remote access to the courts for non-essential pending cases.  For further details on next steps, read the April 7 memo here, and view the Chief Judge’s April 6, 2020 video message here
