Governor Signs APRIL 7 EO 202.14, Extends Prior Directives to May 7

On April 7, 2020, Governor Cuomo signed Executive Order 202.14.  Among other things, it continues the suspensions and modifications of law, and any directives, not superseded by a subsequent directive, made by Executive Order 202 and each successor Executive Order to 202, for thirty days until May 7, 2020; it suspends certain provisions of the Education Law, Insurance Law and Surrogate’s Court Procedure Act through May 7; and, for purposes of certain provisions of the Estates Powers and Trusts Law, the Public Health Law, the Real Property Law and the General Obligations Law, it permits witnessing to be performed utilizing audio-video technology provided that certain conditions are met.  Read EO 202.14 here.
