International Diversity Program Manager - Vance Center
Duties: Manage the Vance Center’s international diversity programs, including the Women in the Profession Program, the Total Law Prep Program focused on Afro-descendant and Indigenous diversity in the Latin American legal profession, the African gender diversity initiative, and others. Develop and manage relationship with participating law firms and general counsels in Latin America and the United States focused on diversity. Coordinate program development and activities with bar association diversity and inclusion programs. Participate in developing strategic plans. Develop and monitor institutional branding and messaging to ensure effective communications to all constituencies, including partners outside of United States, for the diversity programs. Provide content for website, monthly e-newsletter, social media messaging, and other public communications regarding the diversity programs. Monitor and evaluate communications metrics to inform diversity programs development. Maintain and grow the organization's database of constituents including donors, law firm partners, law student supports, and other leaders for the diversity programs. Collaborate in the planning and sustaining of organizational knowledge management and internal information flow. Coordinate annual appeal solicitation with the objective to reengage financial support of prior donors and acquire new support for the diversity programs. Handle applications for fellowship and internship programs, coordinate with program directors in the selection process, and maintain organized records on scheduling and workspace requirements.
Requirements: Requires Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Communications, Political Science or related field of study, and 2 years of experience in Not-for-Profit international legal programs. Experience specified must include 2 years of experience with each of the following: developing and implementing communications for Not-for-Profit international legal programs, including with programs like Constant Contact; managing or supporting diversity and inclusion programs in the legal profession; managing international pro bono law firm engagement; database management, particularly Salesforce; organizing and coordinating international conferences (live or video), seminars, workshops, and mentoring events; and designing and conducting surveys, questionnaires, and multi-participant research projects. Requires Spanish fluency. Requires 5% international travel to Latin America to meet with program. Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.
