The City Bar will be (virtually) closed on Monday, January 18, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The City Bar’s building is open on a limited, appointment-only basis. To schedule a visit, and for the latest on how the City Bar is responding to the coronavirus, click here.
The New York City Bar Association's building is ADA accessible by use of our sidewalk wheelchair lift located at the 42 West 44th Street entrance. The lift's maximum capacity is 550 lbs.
Our front desk staff is always available to provide assistance. The front desk staff can be reached by pushing the intercom button located at the wheelchair lift panel on 44th street or by calling the front desk directly at 212-382-6694.
Our building is also ADA accessible via the Bar Building, located next door at 36 West 44th Street, by taking the elevator to the second floor. Once there, press the button on the intercom to notify the front desk and gain entrance.
In the Association's building, men's and women's ADA restrooms are located on the second floor off the Reception Area as well as opposite the CLE Training Center. There is also an all-gender ADA restroom located on the 3rd floor by the passenger elevator.
For the hearing-impaired, there are four assisted-listening devices available at the front desk for use in our Meeting Hall. If you have a hearing or vision impairment, contact the New York City Bar Association at email@example.com or (212) 382-6663 and we will endeavor to accommodate you.
Service animals are welcome at the City Bar.
